How to Be a Better Person to Others and Yourself

We all want to be our best, But Most of the people wonder if it's actually possible to become a better person once you're an adult. The answer is a resounding YES. There are always ways to improve yourself. This answer leads you to more questions.

So, What is the best way to become a better person? What it's easiest approach? And what are the most important aspects of yourself to work on? Taking into account your own well-being as well as the best interests of others, here are some of the most important ways to become a better person.

Let Go of Anger

Let go of Anger

We all experience anger in our lives. Uncontrolled anger, however, can create problems in our relationships and even with our health.  All of this can lead to more stress and additional problems, complicating life and keeping us from being our best selves. That's why learning to manage and eventually let go of anger is so important to becoming a better person.

Letting go of anger isn't always easy. But the first step is learning more about recognizing anger and knowing what to do when you feel angry in your life.

Recognizing anger is often simple if you make an effort to notice when you feel upset and decide to manage this feeling rather than denying it or lashing out at others as a way of coping. Focus on noticing when you feel angry and why, and know that there is a difference between feeling angry and acting on that anger. Then know your options.

Top 10 Inspirational Painters of all time

Ask a houseful of ‘Art critics’, who is the greatest painter ever? And you’ll get a different name every time. There is no one standard by which you can judge who is the best ever or who is the most inspirational. Art is Subjective and there is no one definition to ‘beauty’.  The reputation of the painter had varied according to the movement. And unfortunately, there were even many of the world’s greatest painters who died unacknowledged. Determining the list of most inspirational painters ever is a highly personal judgment as each one of us have our own stylistic preferences.

Keeping in mind the above mentioned facts, here is my personal list of top 10 inspirational painters of all time. I have used their style of Painting, their reputation over decades, my idea of visual beauty and the influence of their artworks to list out these exceptional painters.

1. Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (15 April 1452 – 2 May 1519), more commonly Leonardo da Vinci or simply Leonardo, was an Italian polymath whose areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography. He has been variously called the father of palaeontology, ichnology, and architecture, and is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time. Sometimes credited with the inventions of the parachute, helicopter and tank,he epitomised the Renaissance humanist ideal. Many historians and scholars regard Leonardo as the prime exemplar of the "Universal Genius" or "Renaissance Man", an individual of "unquenchable curiosity" and "feverishly inventive imagination".

It’s Small things that Make a Big Difference

It’s Small things that Make a Big Difference
There was a man taking a morning walk at or the beach. He saw that along with the morning tide came hundreds of starfish and when the tide receded, they were left behind and with the morning sun rays, they would die. The tide was fresh and the starfish were alive. The man took a few steps, picked one and threw it into the water. He did that repeatedly.

Right behind him there was another person who couldn’t understand what this man was doing. He caught up with him and asked, “What are you doing? There are hundreds of starfish. How many can you help? What difference does it make?”

This man did not reply, took two more steps, picked up another one, threw it into the water, and said, “It makes a difference to this one.”

It’s high time to introspect and realise the worth of our near and dear loved ones

It’s high time to introspect and realise the worth of our near and dear loved ones
Lee Chai had a good-for-nothing donkey. The donkey was wild, unruly, lazy, and obstinate and would not obey Lee Chai and all efforts to train the donkey failed. Soon the donkey became such a nuisance that Lee Chai and his wife were fed up of the donkey and wanted to get rid of it, so they decided to sell off their useless donkey and purchase a good one.

So Lee Chai took his good-for-nothing donkey to the weekly fair where animals were bought and sold by auction.

“I want to sell this good-for-nothing, lazy, useless, disobedient donkey,” Lee Chai shouted.

A little girl wanted to become a great pianist, but all she could play on the piano was the simple little tune, "Chopsticks." No matter how hard she tried, that was the best she could do. Her parents decided after some time to arrange for a great maestro to teach her to play properly. Of course, the little girl was delighted.

When the little girl and her parents arrived at the maestro's mansion for the first lesson, they were escorted by the butler into the parlour, where they saw a beautiful concert grand piano. Immediately, the little girl dashed over to the piano and began playing "Chopsticks." Her embarrassed parents started across the room to tell her to stop, but as she played, the maestro entered the room and encouraged the little girl to continue.

with this short life we have to find the eternal

with this short life we have to find the eternal
A Father was reading a magazine and his little daughter every now and then distracted him. To keep her busy, he tore one page on which was printed the map of the world. He tore it into pieces and asked her to go to her room and put them together to make the map again.

He was sure she would take the whole day to get it done. But the little one came back within minutes with perfect map……When he asked how she could do it so quickly, she said, “Oh…. Dad, there is a man’s face on the other side of the paper….. I made the face perfect to get the map right.” She ran outside to play leaving the father surprised.

The Carpenter

The Carpenter
A highly skilled carpenter who had grown old was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire.

The employer was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter agreed to this proposal but made sure that this will be his last project. Being in a mood to retire, the carpenter was not paying much attention to building this house. His heart was not in his work. He resorted to poor workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

Ask yourself about your Strength

Ask yourself about your Strength
Once, a person decided to realize his dream. Only he didn’t have enough strength to do it. Then he turned to his mother:
- Mother, help me!
- Darling, I would be glad to help you, only I don’t have it. And everything I have, I already give to you…
He asked a wise man:
- Master, tell me, where can I get strength?
- It is said that, it is on the Everest. Only I couldn’t find anything there, except the snowy winds. And when I came back, the time was irretrievably lost…
He asked the hermit:
- Holy Father, where to find strength for realizing my dream?
- In your prayers, my son. And if your dream is false, you will understand it and find peace in your prayers…
Who didn’t the person ask, but the results of his search were only confusion.

Real Winners Don’t Give Up!

Real Winners Don’t Give Up!
This is a true story of a young woman who went through the most gruesome fire. When you read her story, you’ll realize that your trials are absolutely nothing compared to what this young girl went through.
It was September 25, 2000. Maricel Apatan was an 11-year old girl in Zamboanga. On that day, this little girl went with her uncle to draw water.
Along the way, four men met them. They were carrying long knives. They told her uncle to face down on the ground, and they hacked him on the neck and killed him.
Maricel was in total shock,

To become a great leader, you must become a great communicator

You can’t become a great leader, if you can’t speak well.
It’s no coincidence that throughout history nearly all of the great world leaders were good speakers
Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy
— to name but a few.
Whether you’re a president or a manager, your success depends on good communication.

7 tips to make you a great communicator

1. Connect with people —

effective communication is more about building relationships than anything else. Communicate with the emphasis on connecting with people and they will respond better to you and your message.
Speak from the heart and use your own language, let your own personality shine through. Make sure your communication is genuine and true and avoid corporate mumbo-jumbo — your team will respect you for it.

2. Build trust —

for you to become a great communicator, people must trust you. Being aware of this is the single most important thing that you should keep mind:
“If you want to win a man to your cause, first convince him that you are a sincere friend.”
Abraham Lincoln

Difference between Success and Failure is so small

Difference between Success and Failure is so small
The difference between a successful person and a person who is considered a failure is extremely small. In fact, it is so small that it often cannot be determined. Same education, same opportunity, same knowledge, same financial means - and yet one person fails and the other succeeds. If you look at two pots of water on a hot stove and one suddenly begins boiling

- what is the difference?

Your answer may be simply that one is boiling and the other is not. But what is the DIFFERENCE?

Life is a Journey, Not a Destination

Life is a Journey, Not a Destination
Life can’t be described by only one or two words. It is the mixture of everything. The mixture of happiness and sadness, success and failure, comfort and pain, encouragement and frustration, opportunities and frustrations, love and hatred, relief and sorrow, and struggle and giving up. Life is not perfect, but it is beautiful.

Life is a journey, not a destination.

Everyone takes every step in a very unique way. This journey may take you down by great storms and bumpy road but it does not matter, what matter the most is how many times you stand-up to continue. Each moment on journey of life you are presented with an opportunity to react differently. You may even make the same choices over and over again because you do not know how to choose otherwise. You have the power to change things and not walk around in a constant circle.

Life is a mixture of happiness and sadness

Nobody grew-up with a constant emotion. Many situations will test our emotion. It will make us happy, sad or angry but one thing we must remember, it is just a test given to us to make us stronger.

Failure is not Final

Failure is not Final
Have you seen the inspiring commercial that Michael Jordan did for Nike? It's the one where he talks about all of his mistakes, such as the free throws and game-deciding shots that he's missed over the years.

I love that commercial for its right attitude about failure, but I'm even more impressed with it after seeing a follow-up interview with Jordan.

A reporter asked Michael Jordan if the statistics that he quoted in the commercial were correct. Jordan's response? "I don't know."Now that answer surprised me at first, until I realized its significance: Michael Jordan is so unconcerned with failure that he truly has no idea how many shots he's missed in his career or how many games have been lost because of his mistakes. He simply took the word of the statisticians at Nike for those numbers.

Like Jordan, we all fail. Success isn't based on "avoiding" failure, but
on "facing" it correctly. William A. Ward said, "Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead-end street."
